CFF Conversion Option

Wilkes University is excited to announce a limited time opportunity to all cohort I and II Classroom For the Future (CFF) participants who wish to turn their non-credit professional development course into graduate credits.

Am I eligible?

Anyone who is part of the Pennsylvania CFF initiative and has completed Teaching in the 21st Century: The Need for Change (Blended Study Group Version) with their district is eligible to convert that course to a 3 credit graduate course.

 
How do I convert my non-credit course to graduate credit?

To convert your non-credit course to graduate credit, please complete the following steps.

  1. Complete and submit the online conversion agreement form by August 15, 2008
  2. Complete and submit the Wilkes University online application
    ***If the application is submitted by June 30th, the application fee will be waived
  3. Print the instructions and rubric for the metacognative research paper.
  4. Write the metacognative research paper
  5. Mail the completed paper and a valid check to Learning Sciences International in the amount of $1035.00 to the address below by August 31, 2008.

What happens after I have mailed my paper and payment?

Once we have received your paper and payment, we will send your paper to one of our qualified graduate facilitators and they will grade the paper according to the rubric. The grade that you receive on your paper will be the final grade you receive in the course. Once the final grade has been assigned, you will receive a letter in the mail confirming your grade for the course. The course and grade will be reported to Wilkes University in September and will appear on your transcript as a fall course.

 
Will I be able to convert a course after August 31, 2008?

This is a limited time opportunity. Agreement forms must be completed and submitted by August 15, 2008. The application, paper, and payment must be submitted by August 31, 2008.

 
Will I earn any Act 48 hours for converting my non-credit course to graduate credit?

Yes, you will earn an additional 60 Act 48 hours for converting your non-credit course to graduate credit.
